Please join President Teresa A. Sullivan, the Virginia Women's Chorus, current students, and members of the faculty and staff for a reception. Enjoy a short concert by the Virginia Women's Chorus, hear about President Sullivan's first year in office, share your stories in a video history project, taste local Virginia wines, and catch up with old friends.
Speakers include Sharon Davie and President Teresa A. Sullivan.

Alumnae will share stories about being among the first women attending the University- in the first fully co-education class admitted to the College in 1970, as “day students” in the ‘60s and ‘70s, and as Nursing and Curry school students in earlier decades. Speakers include Sandra Lewis ’72, Cynthia Goodrich Kuhn ’73, Lynn Chadwick ’73, Carolyn Jones Duval '69 and Ann Brown ’74.
10:30-11:45 AM Growing with the Times: Insights into How the University Changed
Nau Hall, Auditorium Room 101
Faculty and administrators will recount how the female experience at the University has changed during their time on Grounds. Speakers include Angela Davis, Gertrude Fraser, Jane Miller and Pat Lampkin.
12:00-1:45 PM The University of Virginia Distinguished Alumna Award Luncheon
Alumni Hall Ballroom
The annual Award Luncheon with faculty, students, alumni, and community members is held in honor of Alexandra Arriaga, the 2011 recipient of the University of Virginia Distinguished Alumna Award. Arriaga deals with human rights issues in countries across the globe, including human rights violations that primarily affect women and girls. This award honoring alumnae is given annually by the Women's Center on behalf of the University.

2:00-3:15 PM U.Va. Through the Years: the Student Experiences
Nau Hall, Auditorium Room 101
Alumnae and current students share experiences about their time at the University, including as the first women to hold key student posts on Grounds. Speakers include Janet Palmer Hamel ’74, Glynn Key ’86, Debora Freitas Lopez '98, Dawn Staley ’92 and Iman Lyons ’11.
3:30-4:45 PM Wahoo Alumnae: What I Learned (or Wish I Had!) and Where It Took Me
Nau Hall, Auditorium Room 101
Alumnae from various decades will reflect on how their University experiences helped shape their profession and personal life, what they achieved, and current opportunities and challenges for women. Speakers include Kathryn Thornton ’79, Val Ackerman ’81, Deanne Maynard ’87, Barbara Lynn ’74 and Autumn Adkins Graves ‘94.
5:00-6:00 PM Keynote speaker: Sheryl Gay Stolberg '83

Sheryl Gay Stolberg, Class of 1983 and current White House correspondent for the New York Times, will share with us her journey as a journalist.
